The Supreme Court on Monday will examine the help given to children who have lost their parents due to corona or any other dangerous disease. The Supreme Court will investigate the help given to orphaned children after March in 10 states including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka.
The bench will also inquire into the relief scheme announced by the Prime Minister for such children and give remedial suggestions.
During the final hearing on Tuesday, the court had asked the states to name a nodal officer for the rank of secretary or joint secretary and discuss the status of these children with the court’s amicus curiae (friend of the court) advocate Gaurav Agarwal. instructions were given. Along with this, a detailed report was asked to be presented before the court by Sunday. The court will also identify 10 other states where this process is to be carried out.
