The heat can show sharp frowns this year. In March itself, many states across the country are experiencing heatwave like May. Heatwave expert and scientist Naresh Kumar said that such hot winds are also seen in Pakistan too, the mercury has reached 45 degrees in some places.

This heatwave is reaching the plains of India via Rajasthan. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted a hot summer between April and June. Mercury has crossed 40 degrees in some states including Rajasthan. IMD has issued heatwave alert on 3 April in 10 states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, UP. Recently, the temperature in Delhi has broken the 76-year-old record.

The mercury was 40.1 degree Celsius in Delhi on Monday, which was not seen in 76 years. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the heatwave running in Rajasthan will increase the temperature in other plains as well.
